Zažít Americkou jinak (Experience Americká differently)

Prague’s Americká and Záhřebská streets will come alive for an all-day, open-air celebration of food, rhythm, and community this Saturday. From 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., this section of Vinohrady will become part neighborhood block party, part world music stage, and much more than just another wine festival on the autumn calendar.

The festival’s new Prague Beer Museum Stage will add a distinctly Czech twist with tastings, brewmaster talks, and competitions. Foodies will revel in Mexican street tacos, Latin flavors, and international bites.

Oktoberfest at Riegrovy sady

Oktoberfest in Riegrovy Sady brings a slice of Bavaria to Prague’s favorite beer garden from September 12–21, turning ten days into a lively Munich-meets-Prague celebration. Sip classic Paulaner or tank Pilsner Urquell, and indulge in hearty favorites like pork knuckles, sausages, crispy pretzels, and sweet kaiserschmarrn.

The atmosphere goes beyond the steins: fun beer contests like stein-holding and keg tapping, plus upbeat DJ sets, will run throughout the festival.

Triangl Festival

The Festival Triangl returns on Saturday to Prague's Bubeneč district, uniting three historic villas—Villa Lanna, Villa Pellé, and the Museum of Literature—for a day of culture. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., each venue offers a program inspired by the themes of water, movement, and sound. Though some events such as lectures are only in Czech, there are performances and exhibitions for non-speakers.

Small Brewery Festival

Prague’s Vítězné náměstí in Dejvice will transform into an open-air celebration of beer as the 7th Festival of Small Breweries at Kulaťák takes over from 8 a.m.. to 8 p.m.. Far more than a simple beer tasting, the event blends the city’s beloved farmers’ market with over two dozen Czech craft breweries pouring everything from crisp lagers to inventive IPAs and porters. Street food stalls will tempt you with grilled specialties, vegan bites, and sweet treats, along with local produce, handmade goods, and artisan snacks.

Asia Food Fest

Expect the air to shimmer with coriander, chili, ginger, and curry at Smíchovská náplavka on Saturday as vendors serve up Vietnamese rolls, crispy Korean corndogs, Mongolian buuz, Malaysian kapung, Korean bulgogi, Indian curries, Indonesian specialties, and plenty more. Veggie Naplavka

If you wander down to Rašínovo nábřeží this weekend, you won’t just find the usual street food stalls. Veggie Náplavka, one of Europe’s largest open-air vegan gatherings, returns on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to turn the riverfront into a vibrant celebration of vegan gastronomy. Expect Tasting Zones every half hour, where up-and-coming plant-based enterprises show off daring new products—some from Czechia, many from abroad.

DESIGN FESTS

Lavrs Market

Lavrs Market will transform a former Holešovice power plant into a mix of style, flavor, and sound. Stroll through curated second-hand boutiques and fresh Czech designer brands, then recharge with mouthwatering street food, craft drinks, and DJ sets. While you hunt for unique finds, kids can dive into face painting and activities in the dedicated children’s corner.

Babí léto Design Market

At the Dyzajn Market Babí léto on Sept.13–14, you can expect around 200 local and international creators, including designers of clothes, jewelry, accessories, home goods, ceramics, stationery, even toys, showing off their original work. Scattered among the stalls, there’s a food zone too: street food, local treats, handmade refreshments, sweet & savory bites, plus quality coffee. It's family and dog friendly.

Science Festival

25 interactive stations will fill Gutovka Park on Saturday letting children poke, prod, and experiment with the natural world, from curious chemical reactions and 'plant clinics' to science games. LEGO robots and a live chemistry show await for the whole family.

Charles Festival

This Saturday the Karlovské slavnosti (Karlov Celebrations) mark the 675th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone for the monastery and church at Karlov. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., the area around the Czech Police Museum will come alive with history, culture, and entertainment.

The festivities commence with a historical parade led by Emperor Charles IV, starting from Apolinářská Street and culminating at the museum courtyard. At 10:30, a symbolic relaying of the foundation stone and a blessing ceremony will take place, accompanied by an open-air service. A cultural program continues into the evening.
