How much control should your employer have while you work from home in Czechia? With remote work now a staple of the country’s labor market for many white-collar roles, employers and employees alike are facing questions about performance, supervision, and privacy.

The Czech Labor Code makes clear that home office arrangements must be set out in writing and must also address reimbursement for remote work expenses. Still, the law leaves space for debate over how far employers can actually go in controlling home-based workers.
