I've been playing guitar for twice as long as I've been teaching. Not only do I play guitar, but I also play Chapman Stick(r), a tapping fretboard. I have taught both instruments and created the original Concept Duo, Heartstrings, which was together from 2004-2014. What are your lessons like?
Each lesson is tailored to the individual student's level and ability. The first lesson is an assessment of this as well as a plan for moving forward. We'll determine if some technique or behaviors need to be corrected or if we can dig in straightaway. Every student will leave their lessons with something to practice for the next lesson.
How many hours of practice are required?
If you can dedicate at least one hour per day between lessons, you'll learn that much more quickly and find meet your guitar goals sooner. Though more hours is better. and ideally 2-3 per day, if possible.
Guitarist with 40 years playing and 20 years teaching experience. Most styles covered, from beginner to mid level, including pop, rock, metal, blues, folk, reggae, and beginning classical. Each lesson is tailored to you. Have a song you want to learn? Just ask!
Lessons available at my place, your place, or a third location, if desired.
Guitar lessons - 600czk/60 min or 4 lesson package (4 lessons within a month) - 2400czk

-What ages do you teach?
I teach ages 10 and up.
Where are you located?
I'm based in Vinohrady, and have many students come to my home for their lessons. However, I will also to travel to your home or office within the Prague metro area. While many of my students are in the evenings - usually from 16-19, I have availability during the lunch hour or some mid-afternoons as well. Just ask.
What if I don't have a guitar?
I'll help guide you in the right guitar for you or the future guitarist in your life.
What if I have a guitar and it's not set up right?
I can help set it up properly as well as help you tune it to make it sound its best.
What is your cancellation policy?
Whether you are paying lesson by lesson or have opted for the monthly package of 4 lessons, I require at least 24 hours' notice. If less than 24 hours' notice is given, you'll be invoiced for the full cost of the lesson or it will be counted as a lesson within the package deal.
