Rents in Czechia rose 9 percent year-on-year in Q2 2025 to an average of CZK 17,586, according to UlovDomov.cz. POLITICS ANO leads in new election poll, Together dips

ANO would win upcoming elections with 31.5 percent support, up from last week, according to a new STEM poll for CNN Prima News. The ruling Together coalition fell slightly to 19.4 percent. SPD returned to third place at 12.8 percent, followed by STAN at 12.2 percent. The Pirates (8.1 percent) and Enough! (7.4 percent) parties would also enter parliament. Together and STAN would now hold 68 seats—well short of their current 104-seat majority.

ECONOMY Jewelry prices in Czechia rise sharply

Andrej Babiš and Tomio Okamura have suggested the 2025 Czech elections could be manipulated by the ruling coalition, citing concerns over mail-in voting. More than half of Czechs share fears of electoral fraud, according to a February STEM poll. Experts warn such claims undermine trust in democracy. The Interior Ministry says the decentralized voting process prevents any centralized manipulation of results.

SPORTS Nosková to open Prague Open against qualifier
